Anti Doping Policy

We require all athletes to strictly follow all anti-doping guidelines and regulations as put forth by our governing bodies. We believe in the rules of clean and fair sport sport, for both our human and equine athletes. It is your responsibility to become familiar with the guidelines and educate yourself on staying safe in our sport.

All athletes must attend our rules webinar prior to starting a competition season to understand the policies we follow, and the importance of your responsibilities as an athletes.

At this stage there are no rules for medications for the rider competing at NRHA events. However it is our policy that riders are not to be under the influence of Cannabis or Alcohol at the time of competition.

For horses we follow the NRHA Medications Policy, here is the link to the online medication form submission as some substances have to be reported click here. An easy rule of thumb is only previcox or bute can be used without a veterinary prescription and a form filled out for the competition. No stacking allowed.

All information on allowable medications for your veterinarian can be found in your NRHA handbook.
