So you’ve been riding for sometime and now you are interested in showing. You might be wondering what the entails.

Each year, Hylee Training outlines the shows that they will be attending and the students ready to be part of that let Alicia know that they are interested and we plan our lessons based on the shows we will be attending. We attend a variety of different types of shows including flat general performance shows (local riding clubs) and Hunter/Jumper shows (at both the local and provincial level) and dressage (local level, provincial and national level)

In order to show, a student must be able to walk/trot and canter on their own. A certain level of commitment is also involved as shows are EARLY in the morning and you must prep your horse and equipment.

There is an initial expense to showing which requires you to purchase boots, a jacket some breeches and a shoe shirt. After that though, showing can be fairly inexpensive with a day of showing costing approx $100 in classes and $100 in hauling and show coaching fees.
