horse jumping in derby   Type of Lessons

We offer lessons in English disciplines for all levels of riders however, riders must be over 4 years and older. We have horses here to ride or you may bring your own. Our horses are suitable for all levels of riders.

We offer two lesson formats. Private lessons are $60 for 45 min sessions and Semi Privates are $40 per rider for 1 hour session. If you choose semi-private lessons you will be grouped with one other rider who is of similar riding ability. We suggest that beginner riders start with private lessons until they feel comfortable in the saddle and are able to master basic riding skills.

During beginner lessons riders that are not able to get there own horse safely or tack up are required to do that within the lesson time so it can be supervised. Once a rider is capable of doing that – they are welcome to come earlier and get ready before their lesson.

We teach all riders how to safely catch, groom, and tack their horses in addition to riding skills. A portion of your first lessons will be spent learning these skills and once mastered riders will be expected to arrive early and be ready to ride at their designated time.
