I have enrolled by 6 year old daughter &  myself in riding lesson at Hylee this August. I relaized that Alicia was dealing with a huge influx of bookings but nonetheless I had no problem booking our lessons within a couple fo emails. Our first lesson was amazing – the horses were very mellow so both my daughter and I were at ease and wanting more. Alicia was friendly and professional.

I have been with Hylee Training for about a year and a half now. As a person who entered the riding scene with absolutely no knowledge about horses, Alicia (Owner of Hylee Training) has introduced me to the culture of riding through a very comfortable and welcoming learning experience. Alicia is a very encouraging instructor who motivated me through this physically demanding sport. This is particularly important as it can get discouraging at first due to the amount of soreness one can get as new muscles are developing. Alicia’s lessons are very comprehensive, and the hour always seems to pass by too fast due to the amount of fun I have. In addition, Alicia has a flexible schedule which is something important as school can get busy sometimes. I believe Hylee Training deserves an A+ review. Alicia Harper is a wonderful coach with excellent strategies. I appreciate the knowledge and understanding that Alicia delivers. Hylee Training is always on the go, and there is never a dull moment. Over the past year I’ve had so much fun, and have developed a greater understanding of my equine friend. I come from a western background and I have never enjoyed the English discipline as much as I have now. It’s always a good time at the barn, I love how everyone is welcome no matter how much experience one has. Alicia teaches you the reasoning behind what she does, not the typical “this is what you do, so just do it.” I love that all of my questions have always been answered.
